Chelmsford born singer/songwriter and multifaceted musician, Joe Anderton has taken on his mothers maiden name, Greene, for his current project in music. After spending some years as a member of Connor Selby’s band and lending his writing credits not only to Connors work but also to other artistes such as The Cinelli Brothers; Joe now uses Greene as a vessel for his own prolific output. Prior to that he learnt his skill and developed his unique style in the same manner as most of us do, by just getting out there. His solo appearances are a joy, personal, profound; often humorous and hugely authentic.

Greene is a sound steeped in pop melodies and often introspective and whimsical lyrics, drawing comparisons to Loudon Wainwright III and being praised for a unique take on many universal topics. His output covers genres many, including the subtle nod to Garage Rock as an obvious influence.

So why was Joe invited to contribute to an album by the REP? The track in choice and questiowas a perfect match in order for Joe to apply his wide scope as a musician and an easy request. Thankfully he accepted. Listen, as it was his guitarist mantle that was worn & mined and you will understand why.
